According to Albert Einstein, time serves the purpose of keeping everything from happening at once, and thank goodness for that. For that very reason, it’s a great luxury to spend two or three weeks in a Puerto Vallarta villa rental, because you’ll have enough time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city at your leisure. In fact, if you use yours well and wisely, you’ll be sufficiently time-endowed to spend some of it exploring those little gems that make life in Puerto Vallarta exceptional.
The Public Library
One local treasure that you may not read about in the travel blogs is the Biblioteca Los Mangos, at Francisco Villa 1001 in El Centro. Yes, you can browse the racks and borrow books and other materials; in addition Puerto Vallarta’s public library offers a regular schedule of events and activities for guests and card-holders of all ages.
There’s more. Check with the library to learn what special events they have on tap for the month. You’re likely to find a concert or two, perhaps a special class on poetry (you might learn to write it or to develop a finer understanding and appreciation of it), or a unique presentation, maybe comedy or a scholarly lecture.
Relax with a Good Book
Los Mangos Library has a very nice collection of books written in English, and the number of volumes is growing all the time. And because you have arranged your holiday to include some downtime so you can relax and enjoy life at your Puerto Vallarta villa rental, you might want to borrow a title or two and catch up on your reading.
In fact, think how lovely it will be to find a shady place on your patio, sink into a comfortable lounger with a cool beverage, and open up a good book. When you want to cool off, the pool is just steps away. Kick back, relax, and gather your strength for another night on the town. Or, since you have given yourself so many nights, you might even want to think about spending a night in, as they say.
